- A daily spritz of silicone spray products can prolong the life of hair extensions and keep them soft and shiny. This is effective up to a point, however you’ll need to maintain the following good habits to look after your extensions and keep them looking their best.
- Use products that mimic your hair’s natural oils to keep your extensions moisturised and hydrated. Look out for those that are sulphate free and contain argan oil. Lightweight sprays are best for keeping hair shiny as heavy creams and serums may give your hair an oily appearance.
- Over washing will dry your extensions out and cause them to deteriorate faster. When washing your hair, always use a conditioner to keep extensions soft and leave them to air dry afterwards.

- If you have clip ins, take them out before you go to sleep as sleeping in your extensions can cause them to matt and tangle. - Avoid your hair extensions coming into contact with harsh chemicals, such as bleach or chlorine. It’s advisable not to swim with your hair extensions, although if you must then make sure you wash your hair straight afterwards and use a good quality conditioner.
