Net Hair Weaving

• A net weave is a type of hairextension used on people experiencing severe hair loss. The basic process involves applying a thin net over the head, securing it to the natural hair, and then sewing hair extensions on to the net. When finished, it will look as if the person has a full and healthy head of hair. Net hair weaving is less stressful on the hair than a regular sew-in because the net acts as a barrier between the weight of the weave and the natural hair.To maintain the extensions, it's necessary to return to the salon for maintenance every other week. With proper care, the net weave should last two to three months.

• One of the biggest advantages of investing in a hair net when deciding to wear hair extensions is that it provides complete versatility. You no longer have to worry about where to part your hair, your cornrow braids showing, imbalance of braid placement, lumpy hair, scalp issues or anything else. The fact that you are sewing the weave hair directly to your hair net, allows you to sew in your weave in any direction you want.

• Before sewing the net to the head, braids or tracks need to be made to anchor the net. The number of braids made will depend on the length and condition of your hair, but a minimum amount of four braids is usually needed to anchor the hair net on all four sides of the head. Once you've made the anchor braids you're ready to sew on the net.

• Another great advantage of wearing hair nets is that you’re not confined to one way of cornrow braiding your own hair. When wearing a hair net, you can choose to either braid your hair horizontally or in a circle, it does not matter. Since the braids will be completely covered anyway, their purpose becomes simply to add extra security for your extensions to be sewn-in.
