          Hair extensions are also called as Artificial hair integrations in order to add length and sometimes volume to the human hair. Lots of women around the world  use hair extensions as a method to attain desired hair looks. Hair extensions can be used for various purposes like to extenuate length, volume or add highlights to one’s natural hair colour. In all, hair extensions are quick and easy way to transform one’s hair style if properly used and maintained.

There are certain myths surrounding the use of hair extensions, especially in India. Some of them are :

❖      These may cause bald patches

❖      They are hard to maintain

        
      All these are clear myths and have no connection to reality whatsoever. Hair extensions being a new revolutionary product, people are just unaware of it for the moment. One should know the difference between good and bad hair extensions. That along with bad maintenance and bad stylist, the myths might come true.

         

To clear out all these myths. There has to be a way how we can realize if the hair extension are good or not. We can keep the myths from happening by :

    In these, which ones you want to get should depend upon the natural state of your hair. Slight differences might make the extensions look odd and weird.

          The point to be noted here is that the clipping or adding of extension should be done by a professional as it prevents any issues that might happen. There are various ways in which hair extensions can be added to your hair. 

❏      Clip - On Hair Extensions : These are hair extensions that have various (2-3) clips at the start hairline of the extension that can be clipped to the part of the hair where the extension should start 

❏      Micro Beading : Micro Beading are extensions that does not require glue to be attached. It consist of high quality Spanish hair loped through micro-ring.  This creates a strong bond with the original hair

❏      I/U/V tip Hair Extensions : These are the extensions that have the I, U or V shapes at the tip of the hairline. These are attached by glue to the part of original hair.

❏      Wefted Hair Extensions : These are similar to U tip but they are an entire lane of hair extensions that can be attached to the original tip of hair via glue. These depend of the width of the person’s head.

Costing of Hair Extensions :

          The cost of hair extensions depends on various factors. These can be the type of hair extension, the length, the colour, etc. Sometime geography also plays a part in this i.e. from which city or place one is getting them from. But the approximate range would go from 40$ to around 450$ depending upon the above mentioned factors.

         

          One should use only 100% human hair extensions, avoid synthetic and make sure the person is licensed hair dresser.
